Since then, Jim has traveled to 64 countries shooting everything from primitive cultures to wildlife. He is a master at Photoshop and in addition to his adventuresome travels, Jim produces conceptual images for stock. He is the author of 12 books on photography, and he has written hundreds of magazine articles on various photographic techniques. His work has been seen in National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, American Photo, Outdoor Photographer, Time Life books, Life Magazine, and many others. His work is sold in more than 30 countries around the world, and his stock inventory is represented by Corbis.
Jim is also an educator. He has taught photography at major universities like UCLA and Kent State University as well as distinguished photo schools like Hallmark Institute and the Palm Beach Photographic Center. He is now also teaching on-line courses for Betterphoto.com. Two or three times a year he conducts photo workshops in the U.S. and abroad, taking small groups of photographers to places like Papua New Guinea, India, Peru, and Italy. |
