Rosanne Pennella left a successful career as an attorney to travel the planet, photographing remarkable people and places.  Since that time, she has photographed the rainforest of Borneo, former headhunters of New Guinea, the Ganges River in India, the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, cremation ceremonies in Bali, the mystical landscapes of China, tribal villages in northern Thailand, a music festival in Fiji, on safari in Kenya, the medinas of Morocco, voodoo and dance ceremonies in West Africa, the cloud forest of Central America, the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, aboard an icebreaker near the magnetic north pole and in the penguin colonies of the Antarctic peninsula.

Nikon has used her images in their catalogs, Nikon World magazine, the PMA and advertisements.  She has been a speaker for Nikon at Photo Plus Expo and PMA.  Her images appear in the PDN/Nikon “On the Road” series at pdnonline.com and nikonnet.com as well as well at takegreatpictures.com.   She recently photographed for a show entitled “Peru: The Royal Tour” along with the president of Peru for The Travel Channel and Discovery Channel.  Images from that trip appeared in The New Yorker.  She has also appeared on television speaking about her career change and photography.   She has photographed on assignment for tourism offices and travel companies in countries including China, Costa Rica, Fiji, Kenya, Malaysia and Morocco.   Other clients include Kodak, Lowepro, Geographic Expeditions, Quark Expeditions, Wilderness Travel, The New Yorker, Travel Holiday, World & I, Fodor’s, Random House, Response, Scholastic Publications and Wilderness Travel.
